I’m not really an expert in making websites but i’ve got to give it a try for those who are really new to webdesigning. =))

1. Assets in Layouts
   Most of us do overuse the use of webmaterials. It ends up like a trash. Actually, it does not really look good if you put too much of it. Your website will look like as if it is owned by a 7-year-old kid. Try these suggestions:

   • Use appropriate transparent PNGs. There are many prettyful trans. PNGs offered in the web but choose the one that will fit the “theme” of your layout.
   • The simpler, the better. Your visitors will do prefer a simpler yet neat-looking layout than the extravagant yet dirty-looking layouts for sure.
   • Be creative. Do not just depend on the webmaterials itself! Maximize the use of the effects that your design program can offer such as colorizing, blending and the like.

2. Website Content
   There are limited content that you should put into your website. What do i mean by that? Be consistent with your site type. If your site category is MySpace goodies then make majority of your content be it. Try my suggestions here.

3. Accessibility
   Make your webpages accessible! Don’t put broken links in your website or you might lose your visitors because that piss them off. Also, make sure that your pages can be easily accessed. Arrange your pages according to the catergory you have.

4. Advertise
   Advertise your website. It is one way of increasing one’s website traffic. How will the world know your website if you are not going to broadcast it? ♥

5. Be a good hostee
   If you think you are a good hostee, i’m pretty sure that you won’t have a hard time searching for a really good host. They will be the one who’ll search for you. =)) Feel free to find a host at hostee.net.

6. Appropriate wordings
   Use appropriate wordings on your website. As much as possible, do not be harsh; saying words like fc*k, assh*le, not unless it’s necessary for you to do such. =)) My other suggetions:

   • dO nOt tYpe liKe thiS. This manner of typing does not look good. It has the intention of hurting your visitors’ eyes.
   • Don’t shortcut the words. Don’t type as if your texting. It is commonly used by Filipino webdesigners to use words or phrases like “auko nman kxe..”, “congratz nman xa kanilah n0h!”, “masaia kz aqoh pag nkkitah q xa ee!..xD”, “plz email me hir. tnxz.”. It is really inappropriate. Please bear in mind that it is not only same people who will constantly view your page. This may also irritate your visitors and might prefer viewing other websites than yours instead.

7. Colors
   Make use of the colors that is matched with your layout and CSS. See to it that the color does not hurt the eyes of your visitors, especially the color of your text.
